Goldman Plumbing was engaged by Ivanhoe Girls Grammar school to design and install a new pool heating system. The existing system was at end of life and was inefficient due to outdated technology.
The existing system consisted of 7 x Bosch 32 instantaneous gas hot water generators, 2 x Latento storage heat exchangers and was also fed via a solar pre-heat system.
The Latento heat exchangers were replaced with 2 x 315L stainless steel storage tanks with one tank acting as a Solar Pre-Heat collector/storage tank. The second tank was used for heated water residual storage.
The existing 7 x Bosch heaters were replaced with 4 x Aleabrax A1K 100 high efficiency condensing hot water generators with an output of 100kW each.
New pumps, controller and sensors were also installed to control and regulate the system. This new system required major pipework re-configuration to accommodate the new equipment.
The system was designed by our in-house engineers and installed by our experienced Victorian team, on time and on budget with minimal disruption to the schools operations.
