Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) are a testable valve found in Aged Care, Hospital and accessible access facilities. These valves regulate and restrict the delivery temperature of warm water, protecting users from the risk of scalding.
If you are the owner of a TMV you are required to test them annually to manufacturers recommendations to maintain compliance in line with Australian Standards.
An additional endorsement is required on a plumbing licence to be eligible to carry out servicing of a TMV.
A Backflow Prevention Device protects potable water supplies from cross contamination.
These devices are also testable every 12 months with a test report being sent to the local water authority as proof of testing for their records.
An additional endorsement is required on a plumbing licence to be eligible to carry out servicing and testing of Backflow Prevention Devices.
Goldman Plumbing are licensed to carry out TMV and Backflow Prevention Device testing and servicing throughout all states of Australia.
